We had a busy, but fun, day in Kennebunk, despite the muggy energy sapping weather. First up was a brunch visit with the King family, they are hosting Kevin W and Kieva. Kevin is the only boy in a house full of girls (apart from his host dad, also Kevin). He also joins the collection of K's in that house, in fact host mum Susan is the only member of the houshold whose name doesn't start with K.

We had waffles for brunch, as you can see I added a little topping to mine,

I did leave some whipped cream for the others, honest I did.
KatieKieva
You see just how much whipped cream Katie and Kieva have on their plates....

We had a lovely chat with Susan about the programme and how much Katie is enjoying it and how Kristin and Katie had fun on the February trip then we went outside and joined Kieva with Flat Stanley.

Flat Stanley belongs to Kieva's little brother so here he is with Kieva and I enjoying a gentle swing,

So there you go Ashton your Flat Stanley is officially in Maine.....
Time flew by so fast and before we went we took the traditional Family pic,

Kieva, Susan, Katie, Kevin and Kevin (thats the K on my keyboard exhausted from overuse!!)
Thanks Kings for a great visit.

We moved on to the Rich family where Keely is staying (more K) with host sister Katherine (this is like Sesame Street, brought to you today by the letter K). The weather was really muggy by now and thankfully we had a bit of a storm while we were there which helped clear the air. This is Katherine holding a couple of pineapples, our second pineapple pic of the summer.....
KathPineapple
Katherine had also made us a scone cake, which I forgot to take a picture of and kinda got ate in the car later (we thought we would try a piece and one piece lead to another..........)

Now here is an unusual family pic, because Katherine's dad and brother were at work we had the ladies hold photos of them, the cute little baby is her dad and that's her brother running .

There was some mention of a turtle but I'm much too polite to repeat that and TC stop calling when we are trying to do host family visits, or at least speak when we answer the phone
Thanks Rich's for a relaxing afternoon.

Our final visit of the day was dinner with the Kelley family where Chloe is staying. We arrived there in the middle of a downpour so outdoor dining was off the schedule. We had our third great visit of the day and all tiredness left us as we listened to stories from the family, many of them unbloggable, well at least the ones from Jamie and Ben(Chloe's host brothers). There was a picture of the boys with a Liger (a cross between and Lion and a Tiger) pinned on the fridge door, it seems the boys have a liking for big cats, *cough* *cough* Cougar
Anyways Chloe and Katie are having fun,
KatieChloe
Chloe made us a cake for dessert, 10 bonus points to Chloe

and here we have the family pic, very dignified poses from the boys,

The girls finished off the night with a pool volleyball game, in the dark, all captured by my camera,

Thank you Kelley's for a wonderful evening, a perfect end to a long day.
